About our client
FOGO Futsal Ekstraklasa is the premier professional futsal league in Poland, bringing together the country’s top teams and players in a dynamic, fast-paced competition.
The league is known for its high level of play, strong fan engagement and commitment to promoting futsal nationwide. As the central body managing the competition, FOGO Futsal Ekstraklasa oversees match organisation, live broadcasting, marketing and league development initiatives.
Business goal
At the core of this project was the ambitious goal of making futsal more recognisable and popular among sports fans, raising its profile to a level where it could stand shoulder-to-shoulder with more traditional sports.
We were approached by PROSPORTS.MEDIA, a content rights holder specialising in sports media. Their vision was to build a platform that would drive the growth of futsal by building a dedicated community of engaged sports fans and opening up new revenue opportunities for the sport and its stakeholders.
To achieve this, we set out to build a platform that not only provided high-quality live broadcasts and on-demand content but also fostered a sense of community and belonging. The service needed to offer live streaming, video-on-demand (VOD) content, and monetisation options while ensuring a fast time-to-market and cost-effectiveness.
The challenge was to create a platform that was scalable and capable of handling the growing live traffic while offering the potential to expand into other sports. The long-term goal is to create a competitor capable of competing with traditional sports media, a platform that unites fans and draws attention away from the more dominant, mainstream channels.
Solution
To meet the ambitious goals of the client, we developed the platform using our white-label OTT platform, which simplified and accelerated the creation of this service. By leveraging this solution, the platform was created in a modular way, allowing for seamless integration across multiple devices. This approach significantly reduced the time and complexity typically associated with developing a streaming service.
The development team consisted of three people: one focused on web development, one on mobile, and one project manager overseeing the process. Their collaboration ensured a smooth and efficient delivery.

A key factor in the platform’s success was a collaboration with Mux, a San Francisco-based video technology company specialising in streaming infrastructure and performance analytics.
Mux provided the API and infrastructure for encoding, storage, and content delivery. Thanks to its high-performance solutions, Futsal Ekstraklasa TV delivers a premium streaming experience while keeping operational costs low.
With Mux’s AI-driven per-title encoding, bitrates and resolutions adapt to content complexity, ensuring top video quality with optimal bandwidth use—reducing costs for high-complexity videos while maintaining performance for simpler streams.
For storage, Mux keeps a single high-quality version of each video, generating required formats only on demand via “just-in-time transcoding.” This significantly cuts costs while ensuring compatibility across devices.
